Shanghai botanic garden is founded at a site for tree cultivation in1974, and now serves as one of the most tree planted areas in Shanghai. At this area of 81 ha there are more than 3000 species of plants peculiar to this region, including 108 sorts of rare plants or plants on the verge of extinction. In the botanical garden, many specialists and engineers are engaged in scientific research business, education, gardening, scene instruction, the interior design business treating plants, etc. An annual visitors count 700,000 or more people.

As sub gardens, there are divisions for ferns, needle-leaf trees, Magnolia, Paeonia, Rhododendron, roses, maples, Osmanthus, and bamboo. Besides, there are bonsai garden, medicinal herb garden, Chinese cymbidium collection and comprehensive exhibition hall.

On October 26, 2008, I was able to visit Shanghai botanic garden only for 1 hour. I heard it takes more than 30 minutes from the main gate to the maple garden on foot, so I used career car of the garden. I could see only the maple garden.

the environment of our world is becoming worse and worse now, and more and more wild animals already exited . there are almost 100 kinds of spices of wild animals are dieing everyday. because of the pollution of forests, rivers and sky, there are a lot of endangered animals in the world, like polae bear, blue whale, sea turtle, they lost trees, food and home, they need our help.

in my opinion, we must do something to protcet our world, to protect wild animails. fisrt, the govonment must punish these people who cut trees. then clse these facotory which pollutr rivers and sky. then, people must plant more trees and clean dirty rivers. Last, everyone should try their best to protect our world.
